October 2006, we return to Europe to continue our trip.

We arrived in Lisbon about 06:30 on Wednesday morning.  A friend picked us up and we went to the hotel that we had stayed at before.  It was reasonably cheap and very convenient.  We dropped Kathy off and then our friend took me to the bike.  This is a new friend, Francisco.  The friend who stored our bike was on a business trip to Shanghai.  I repaired the damage done during the shipping of the bike, a small (but expensive for what it was) piece of plastic on the right saddlebag had been broken.  Then I took the bike to the hotel and parked it.  We had been up for about 30 hours, half of which had been in airline seats, and we were tired.  We went to bed early and slept late.  Click on the links above, from left to right, to follow us.
